Peningkatan sektor Industri, infrastruktur, dan teknologi mutakhir adalah keniscayaan bagi negara&nbsp;maju. Indonesia siap menyonsong hal tersebut, akan tetapi dampak lingkungan masih sering terabaikan. Polusi akibat industri&nbsp;dan aktifitas manusia, baik di udara maupun di air perlu penanganan&nbsp;dan monitoring yang serius. Selain itu, mengingat Indonesia secara geografis terletak pada daerah rawan bencana maka ketanggapan terhadap bencana alam perlu diprioritaskan pula.&nbsp;Oleh karena itu&nbsp;untuk menjadi negara maju, Indonesia haruslah berdaulat dalam penanganan dan monitioring polusi&nbsp;serta&nbsp;bencana alam.&nbsp;Tim kami&nbsp;<strong>secara mandiri<\/strong>&nbsp;terus mengembangkan instrumentasi aerosol, filter udara dan air,&nbsp;serta&nbsp;kebencanaan. Pengembangan, pengujian dan karakterisasi alat, sebisa mungkin tidak lagi bergantung dengan peralatan luar negeri. Tim kami telah mengembangkan alat monitoring polusi&nbsp;<em>particulate matter&nbsp;<\/em>(PM),&nbsp;<strong>filter air dan udara berbasis nanoserat<\/strong>, dan instrumentasi kebencanaan yaitu&nbsp;<em>early warning system<\/em>&nbsp;(EWS) untuk longsor, banjir, dan tsunami. Selain itu, alat-alat karakterisasi material pun kami kembangkan sendiri, diantaranya adalah&nbsp;<strong>alat uji filter udara dan air<\/strong>&nbsp;(<em>flux, pressure drop, efisiensi, quality factor<\/em>), pengukur pori membran\/serat, pengukur sudut kontak dan&nbsp;<em>wettability<\/em>, viskometer, dan tensiometer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Seri Kuliah Umum FMIPA : Dr. Eng.
